1. Charge battery
After its last mowing session, fully charge the iMOW® battery. This will prevent the robotic mower from a deep discharge during winter storage, and extend the service life of the battery. Then remove the iMOW® from the docking station and carry out the steps to prepare for hibernation. Please note that the preparation steps differ depending on the iMOW® model.
2. Clean robotic mower
Before the long winter break, you should dedicate some time to your iMOW® and clean it.
3. Checking the robotic mower for wear
Only store your robotic lawn mower in a safe operating condition. Check the robotic lawn mower for signs of wear and possible damage. If you discover worn or defective parts, these should be replaced.
4. Winter break for the charging station
The iMOW® docking station can be left on the lawn area over the winter. However, you should cover it to protect the electronics. To do this, disconnect the power supply unit from the mains and store it in a cable box, for example.
Place a suitable bucket over the station and secure it so that the bucket protects the docking station during the winter.
5. Storing the robotic mower in winter
Store the iMOW® in a dry and lockable room, e.g. in your garage or cellar. The temperature in the storage room should not fall below 5° Celsius. Please do not place any objects on the robotic mower.
