The LEDs light up or flash red without a beep. What does this mean and what can I do?

Three LEDs flash red:
There is a fault in the cordless product.
Disconnect battery from product and reconnect.
Switch on cordless product.
If three LEDs continue to flash red consult a STIHL servicing dealer.
Three LEDs are illuminated red:
The cordless product is too warm.
Disconnect battery from product.
Allow the cordless product to cool down.
