What is the difference between “fully supported” and “partly supported” products?

Note: Before you prepare your STIHL product for use, put it into operation, clean, transport, store, maintain, repair, troubleshoot or dispose of it, please read the instruction manual carefully. The instruction manual contains safety instructions and supports you in using your STIHL product in a safe and environmentally friendly manner over a long service life.
For each fully supported STIHL product, a position has been predefined where the Smart Connector should ideally be attached. The position is shown in the instruction video during the pairing process in the STIHL connected app, which can also be found here. In addition, the recommended product-specific maintenance instructions for these products are already stored in the system.
 
Partially supported products can also be connected with the Smart Connector. However, there are no predefined positions for attaching the Smart Connector and no predefined product-specific maintenance instructions for these products.
