If you turn on the offset drive home function and have installed an external docking station, corridors or confined areas, guide loops must be provided.
Guide loops help your iMOW^® identify corridors, confined areas and access points to the external docking station.

Below you will find information about the operation and installation of offset drive home and guide loops.

How offset drive home (passage) works:
Under the default factory settings, the robotic mower returns to the docking station along the perimeter wire.
When the passage is activated, your robotic mower travels back home to the docking station, offset inwards, along the perimeter wire.

Three versions can be selected:

• Off - Default setting

         Your robotic mower travels along the perimeter wire.

• Narrow - 40 cm

         Your robotic mower alternately travels along the perimeter wire or with an offset of 40 cm.

• Wide - 40 - 80 cm

          The distance to the perimeter wire is selected randomly within this passage during each drive home.

How guide loops work:
When the iMOW® robotic mower follows the perimeter wire offset inwards, it crosses one of these guide loops during the drive home. It then travels to the perimeter wire and on to the docking station.

Guide loops with an external docking station:



To the right and left of the access to the external docking station, two guide loops (1) have to be installed at an angle of 90 to the perimeter wire.
Minimum clearance to access: 2 m

Guide loops with corridors:



To the right and left of the corridor access, two guide loops have to be installed at an angle of 90 to the perimeter wire. These must always be located in the part of the mowing area that can only be accessed via a corridor.
Minimum clearance to corridor access: 2 m

If several consecutive corridors are installed, guide loops must be installed in each of the relevant mowing areas.

Installation of a guide loop:



Guide loops must not be installed in the vicinity of corners.
Minimum clearance to corners: 2 m



The perimeter wire must be fastened to the ground with two fixing pins at the edge and must not be crossed.
Minimum length: 100 cm
