How does the iMOW® robotic mower detect solid obstacles in the mowing area?

The iMOW^® robotic mower is equipped with a movable hood fitted with an impact sensor. If the iMOW^® bumps into a solid obstacle (minimum height: 8 cm) in automatic mode, it stops, turns to face another direction and continues mowing.
