What do the LED light patterns on the STIHL battery mean?

The instruction manual contains safety instructions and supports you in using your STIHL product in a safe and environmentally friendly manner over a long service life.

1 LED flashes green:

The state of charge of the battery is too low. Please charge your STIHL battery as described in the STIHL charger operating instructions.

3 LEDs flash red:

There is a fault in the cordless product.

Disconnect the battery from the product and reconnect it. Switch on the cordless product. If three LEDs continue to flash red, consult a STIHL dealer.

4 LEDs flash red:

There is a fault in the battery.
Disconnect the battery from the product and reconnect it. Switch on the cordless product. If four LEDs continue to flash red, consult a STIHL dealer.

1 LED illuminates red:

The battery is too cold or too warm. Disconnect the battery from the product and allow the battery to cool down / warm up.

3 LEDs illuminate red:

The cordless product is overheated. Disconnect the battery from the product and allow the battery to cool down.
