How do I store lithium-ion batteries correctly?

Modern lithium-ion batteries, such as those used by STIHL, can be stored between -10 and +50 degrees Celsius. However, frost-free places such as dry cellar rooms, the garage or a well-insulated shed are ideal. The exact storage temperatures for your STIHL cordless tool can be found in the operating instructions. You can increase the service life of your STIHL battery if you store it partially discharged (40 % - 60 %). Ideally, two LEDs should light up on the battery. If the STIHL battery is used regularly, it does not need to be recharged during storage. Even an empty battery can be stored for several months without being damaged by deep discharge.
